January was a great month for us, we rang in the New Year in New Hampshire and had a blast! A dear family gave us this special gift to spend a week away with the family. We thoroughly loved it and the cold weather meant nothing to the kids. We took them tubing, which was a first for a couple of us, played in the snow and even walked on a pond of ice. It was GREAT!
We returned home, on January 11, Bay Area Community Church commissioned us (the Downtown Annapolis Church Plant). It was a very special time for all of us and more emotional that we expected. It's a wonderful feeling to have our Church behind us and supporting us. On January 18th at 10:00am we had our first official core team meeting. It was a great time for us to gather together on a Sunday morning and unite for this vision God has called us all to. During that time we got into the word and spoke of what was ahead of us. We have been meeting each Sunday morning and having a potluck lunch to get to know one another better. Our team is really beginning to come together and bond.
We also have met to discuss Life Groups and will begin those in February along with a plunge (a group event in the commutiny, that we will be joining.) We will fill you in next time about all of that.
